Our Vision
Our vision at SDC is to become a leading musical performance group, recognized for our commitment to promoting creativity, artistic expression, and cultural exchange.
We strive to inspire and engage audiences through classical and contemporary compositions, arts advocacy, and community outreach. We strive to cultivate a diverse and inclusive experience for all members as a valued and integral part of our legacy.
Our Mission
The Chorale sees its role as being defined by our core guiding principles:
- To provide a vehicle through which local singers can come together to sharpen their musical skills and share a love of choral music.
- To provide an opportunity for high school and college singers to perform challenging music beyond what they are offered in their academic settings.
- To bring well-performed choral music to various venues in Southern Delaware.
- To expand the number and type of music offerings available to local audiences.
- To embrace and practice diversity and inclusion as a group committed to sharing its musical artistry within all communities.
2025-2026 SEASON
We perform three core performances throughout the year, and perform as a chorale or ensemble at various events throughout the state, including artist talks, workshops, and arts advocacy initiatives. Our events are designed to bring people together, foster community, and serve as an arts advocate. We welcome members of all backgrounds to expand and fulfill our vision.
