2026-2027 SEASON

Celebrate the many delights of the winter holidays with Making Spirits Bright. This concert features fresh arrangements of the older texts, seasonal favorites, and new compositions. At the center of the program is Kirke Mechem's Seven Joys of Christmas, a series of vignettes that features as many as 10 well-known carols from England, France, Spain, and even Japan. SDC will bring all the beauty of the season with imaginings of candles, snow, bells, and loved ones with great joy.

Epworth United Methodist Church

A collaborative concert featuring the members of the southern delaware chorale , the sdc ensemble, and choirs from the delmarva peninsula. All singers will join together for the opening and closing piece and each choir will present 10 minutes of music. This event is a fantastic opportunity to engage with singers of all ages, expand our audience, and increase our visibility in the larger musical community.

Cape Henelopen High School

A transatlantic journey through music and poetry from Ireland, Scotland, and England and its connection to our own Appalachian mountains and early American music. This program largely features the works of James Q. Mulholland, an American composer of Irish Heritage, including the title piece, “Bright is the Ring of Words!” and mass in five movements, Missa Romantica. Titles include the text and compositions of St. Patrick and Robert Louis Stevenson to Dan Forrest, Shawn Kirchner, and others.
